Hanover's first and finest Bed & Breakfast offers luxury country lodgings just four miles east of Dartmouth College and three milesfrom the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. Situated on 16 lovely acres, it boasts beautiful grounds and five glorious guest bedrooms, each with its own private bath. Breakfasts are bountiful and amenities abound Whether traveling on business or for pleasure, you'll find a stay at The Trumbull House B&B to be one of your most enjoyable travel experiences.

The Trumbull House B&Bs sixteen acres include a large swimming pond, meadows, sugar maple grove, and woods. A paved basketball half-court invites exercise, and hiking and cross-country ski trails traverse the property and link into the Appalachian Trail. Golf, canoeing and other recreational activities are less than ten minutes away. Dartmouth College offers many cultural and sporting events, and the Town of Hanover offers a wide variety of shopping and dining options.

Each bedroom is unique and features ultra-luxurious bedding, luxury feather pillows, down comforters and soft, thirsty towels. Bright and spacious, each room has a desk, comfortable seating, cable TV/VCR radio alarm clock and an assortment of literature. A sumptuous breakfast (fresh fruit, freshly baked pastry and a menu offering a selection of entrees) is served when you wish, accommodating both early morning meetings and lazy vacations.

Computer facilities, fax, scanner and copier are available in our second floor Business Center. Internet access is available throughout the house, and the facilities of the River Valley Club, a nearby comprehensive health spa and sports club, are available to our guests at no charge.

Room Descriptions:


The Guest Cottage: Our newly furnished separate building offers a private haven behind the main house. Sunlit and spacious, it has a king-size bed and, in the living area, a sofa that converts to a full-size bed. Romantic gas fireplace, cable TV/VCR, wireless internet access, refrigerator and wet bar. Private deck. Large private bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub/shower.

The Suite: A two-bedroom, two-bathroom suite on the second floor. The master bedroom is oversized and has a king- size bed, sitting area, plus a large bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub. A separate sitting/bedroom has a twin trundle bed and window seat, and a private bath with shower. Air conditioned.

The White Room: A bright, spacious room on the second floor with a queen-size four-poster bed and a comfortable sofa that converts to a queen-size bed. Large private bath with shower/tub and two sinks.

The Yellow Room: A large third floor room going from the front to the back of the house with dormers and a large window seat. The king-size bed is nestled into a romantic sleeping alcove and the twin trundle bed provides comfy couch-like seating as well as extra sleeping. Private bath and air conditioned.

The Green Room : A large third floor room going from the front to the back of the house with dormers and a large window seat. The bed is queen-size and comfortable furniture offers extra seating. The large bookcases contain lots of literature. Private bath and air conditioned.

The Blue Room: An elegant room on the second floor with a beautiful queen-size cherry sleigh bed and writing desk plus two upholstered side chairs. The private bath has shower only (no tub).

ROOM RATES AND AVAILABILITY

Terms & Conditions:

• Two night minimum on weekends and during foliage season, or 30% premium for one night stay.
• All rates are double occupancy and include a full breakfast. $20 additional charge for each extra person in the room. Rates do not include the 8% NH room and meal tax. American Express, Visa, MasterCard, and Carte Blanche accepted. Rates subject to change without notice.
• 50% or minimum one-night deposit required. Two week cancellation policy. Deposit will be fully refunded if rooms are cancelled more than two weeks prior to arrival date. Cancellation two weeks or less prior to arrival date requires payment of the full amount of charges due. Different terms may apply for mid-week business bookings or when the entire house has been reserved.
• Check-in between 4:00 and 8:00 pm or by arrangement. Check-out by 11:00 am.
• No smoking on premises.
• No pets.

Directions:

• From 1-89 take Exit 18 towards Hanover (north on Rt. 120). Go 0.7 miles and turn right at the second light onto Etna Road (in Lebanon). Go 2.2 miles and the road will fork. Take the right fork onto Etna Road (in Hanover). The Trumbull House B&B is 0.3miles on the left at 40 Etna Road.
• From 1-91 take Exit 13 towards Hanover. Go 5.1 miles (across the Connecticut River and into New Hampshire, through the edge of the Dartmouth College campus and out over Trescott Ridge) to a T-Junction. Turn right onto Etna Road. The Trumbull House B&B is 0.3 miles on the right at 40 Etna Road.
• From Dartmouth College go south on Route 120 to the traffic light at Greensboro Road. Turn left onto Greensboro Road. Go 2.0 miles and the road forks. Take the left fork onto Etna Road. The Trumbull House B&B is 0.3 miles on the left. OR: Go east on Wheelock Street/Trescott Road (past the Alumni Gymnasium) for four miles until the T-Junction. Turn right onto Etna Road. The Trumbull House B&B is 0.3 miles on the right.
